Desktop RPG and war games - review part 1
«Magic: The Gathering» is intellectual sports, this dialogue, this training and tendency. This intellectual board game was created by the professor of mathematics of the Californian University Richard Garfild in 1993. «Magic» - the good alternative to computer games, and still «Magic» is a synthesis of cards, chess and philately. However, from cards «Magic» took only a format, ease in training and possibility to play any place and at any time. And here passion to puzzles which is similar to chess and passion in collecting of playing cards are felt from first minutes of acquaintance with «Magic».
Each player should have the set from sixty artly issued cards. Each card has certain value and certain force in game. Participants form the packs. All cards have the value and share on subjects. Each participant can feel the master of elements and cause to a life of the most strange heroes and operate them, creating invincible army. Force of the player in its cards and in ability strategically to think. The game purpose – to win the contender, having deprived of its all stock of points.
Today in the world is 60 million players. In «Magic» it is possible to play houses, competitions in special game clubs, and as on the authorised tournaments. Game is supported by the official international supervising organisation - DCI. In it the tournaments are registered, to each player is awarded individual DCI number, it is considered a rating. The regional, national championships, and as the European championships and the World are annually spent.
